S1 Ep. 3. Are you Talking to Yourself, or is it Just Me?

 
Something powerful happens when we verbalize what God thinks and says about us. Even the world has discovered this secret.
Most self-help books have a chapter on speaking kindly- they call it positive self-talk
Studies have shown that the average person talks out loud 150-200 words/min. but self talks at a rate of 1200 words/min. But 90% of self talk is negative-our own worst critics
The devil has it easy if we do his job for him. kill and destroy ourselves.
 
People tend to believe what they hear repeatedly. whether its true or not.
With all the negative talk- I would think one could talk yourself to Death with all the self negative criticism. But lets look at Proverbs 18:20-21
So what's the Alternative?
We speak life and victory over our circumstance.
 
Its called WORDS OF WARFARE
There is a song we sing at our church and its a true faith song. Take you at your word. A song by Cody Carnes. It speaks life into us and our circumstance.
Its knowing who you are in Christ: lets take a sample look

church
graduated High school
 
Joined Army with conditions
God had to stay home
I do what I want
Deployed to Iraq, Cuba and others
Scud missile in barracks
Wait mom--I survived

Hospital
Oh no! Prison sentence and murder charges!
